Vivien CHAN Wai-wan ( M.Phil in Sociology) is Director and Senior Researcher of Chan Institute of Social Studies. She has published two books: Shuttling between Hong Kong and Mainland China: A Study of Mobile Chinese Immigrant Entrepreneurs (in Chinese) by Chunghwa Book Company (Hong Kong) in 2007 and Mobile Chinese Entrepreneurs by Springer (New York) in 2011. She also co-edited one book, City-State Lens: Hong Kong in the Eyes of Mainland China Students by Chung Hwa Book Company (Hong Kong) in 2010 , and published more than 10 book chapters and journal articles. She is presently finishing three books on mainland China professional immigrants, artist immigrants, and return migrants in Hong Kong. Her current research interests are: families in Chinese societies, identities, migration, entrepreneurship and economic sociology.

陳惠雲，社會學碩士，現為Chan Institute of Social Studies董事和高級研究員。曾任職香港浸會大學社會學系研究員，主要從事香港移民的研究。在2007-2011期間, 陳共出版了兩本書, 參與編輯及出版的書本和期刊有7本之多, 也先後在國內外發表了10多篇中英文文章。

其專著《中港徘徊：香港流動巡迴企業家的故事》（與陳國賁合著），(香港中華書局，2007) 被收錄為香港口述歷史特藏；其論文〈雙刃的劍：流動移民企業家的家和業〉獲得第十屆中國大學生學術科技「挑戰杯」比賽一等獎（2007）。陳也先後獲取浸會大學第五屆普通話說講/ 朗誦比賽獨誦組亞軍（2003），北京清華大學「當代中國課程」普通話演講比賽一等獎（2001），香港浸會大學高思維閱讀計劃金獎（2000），第一屆全港大專生普通話辯論比賽季軍（2000），香港中文大學開放日徵文比賽中獲得高級組冠軍（1996）等多個獎項。也曾多次獲得大學獎學金。 先後出任《竑流》、《大學生報》及《城市智庫系列》編輯，陳相信文字的力量和韌性,秉承社會學的理念, 相信社會學從生活中來, 而後必須進入生活, 最後改變生活。
